Flyer advertising Cal Performances symposium on L'Allegro, il Penseroso, ed il Moderato, in conjunction with its west coast premiere. As noted on the flyer, the symposium included lectures by critics Joan Acocella and Alastair Macaulay, as well as Nicholas McGegan (Director of the Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra) and Stephen Greenblatt (who was named the John Cogan University Professor of the Humanities at Harvard University in 2000, but previously, and at the time of this symposium, was an English professor at UC Berkeley).
