Video from "L'Allegro" symposium at Cal Performances - October 1, 1994

This symposium took place in conjunction with the West Coast premiere of L'Allegro, il Penseroso ed il Moderato and was co-presented by Cal Performances, The Threepenny Review, and the Doreen B. Townsend Center for the Humanities at UC Berkeley. The symposium began with introductory remarks and analyses on the work and music by Wendy Lesser (of The Threepenny Review, who also moderated the event), Joan Acocella, Stephen Greenblatt, Alastair Macaulay, and Nicholas McGegan. These talks were followed by excerpts of the work performed by the Dance Group, and a discussion and Q&A between Morris, the four symposium panelists, and the audience.
