Mevlevi Dervish
The solo work Mevlevi Dervish was choreographed by Ted Shawn, the founder of Jacob's Pillow, in 1929. Morris reconstructed and performed this piece on a program with Elisa Monte & Dancers in August of 1982. In 2002, the Dance Group brought this solo to the stage at Jacob's Pillow once more, with dancer Shawn Gannon.
