Article and timeline about Jacob's Pillow's history. Timeline includes Mark Morris's first performance at The Pillow in 1982; the filming of Falling Down Stairs in 1994; and the premiere of Three Russian Preludes, danced by Mikhail Baryshnikov in his first appearence at The Pillow in 1995. (The 1982 timeline entry note states that "Mark Morris makes his first Jacob's Pillow appearance, dancing two solos." For clarification, Morris danced three solos. Two of these, I Love You Dearly and Ten Suggestions, were dances he personally choreographed. The third solo was a recreation of Mevlevi Dervish, choreographed by Ted Shawn in 1929.)
