This performance of Dido and Aeneas was part of a fundraising event for the Handel & Haydn Society's upcoming collaboration with Morris and conductor Christopher Hogwood, on Christoph Willibald Glück's Orfeo ed Euridice (which premiered the following year, in 1996).
