Cooper Grodin
Cooper Grodin (baritone) earned his Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Wisconsin Madison, and received his Master’s in Vocal Performance from the Manhattan School of Music. Recently he performed Evita at Vancouver Opera alongside Ramin Karimloo, was seen in the Atlantic Theater Company’s reading of The Band’s Visit directed by Hal Prince and the site specific concert version of Ragtime on Ellis Island with Brian Stokes Mitchell and has just returned from Miami playing George in Sunday In The Park With George. Grodin starred in the new national tour of The Phantom of the Opera as The Phantom. He was an original member of the 25th Anniversary National Tour of Les Misérables (Combeferre), the title track in the first Asian tour of Zorro, Into the Woods (Rapunzel’s Prince) at NYC’s Shakespeare in the Park with music direction by Paul Gemignani, the Drama Desk nominated best revival of Golden Land, 110 in the Shade (Bill Starbuck), Grease (Danny), Les Misérables (Javert), A Little Night Music (The Count), Joseph... (Pharaoh), Carousel (Billy) at Chicago’s Light Opera Works and Olney Theatre Center which was Helen Hayes Nominated, Parade (Governor Slaton), Fiddler on the Roof (Perchik), and The Fantasticks (El Gallo). Grodin has sung numerous concerts with the New York Philharmonic, The American Symphony Orchestra and with Broadway Pops International.
