BioRITA DONAHUE was born and raised in Fairfax, Virginia and attended George Mason University. She graduated magna cum laude in 2002, receiving a B.A. in English and B.F.A. in Dance. Rita danced in bopi's black sheep/dances by Kraig Patterson before becoming an MMDG company member from 2003-2017. While dancing for the company, she taught for the Dance for PD program and also became a certified Pilates instructor through the Kane School of Core Integration. Rita continues to teach private Pilates throughout NYC to people of all ages and abilities, helping her clients to find better efficiency and ease in their bodies through functional movement and biomechanics.
